Alex’s Fund for Community, Connection, and Belonging

Alex dedicated her life to helping others find stability, dignity, and a place to belong. While training as a social worker, she focused on supporting people rebuilding their lives after homelessness — individuals who often face isolation, stigma, and the difficult transition back into community after long periods on the margins.

This fund has been created in Alex’s memory to honor the work she cared about most.

Through Pathways, the fund will support recently housed individuals with resources, support groups, peer connection, and opportunities for community involvement and leadership. These efforts reflect Alex’s belief that housing is only the beginning — and that true stability comes from connection, purpose, and belonging.

Pathways’ commitment to supporting people as they move from homelessness toward community and independence closely reflects the values that guided Alex’s work and aspirations in the field.

This fund is one way to carry forward Alex’s compassion and commitment, helping others find the same sense of belonging she worked so hard to create for those around her.
