“I love it here and I am in my own apartment and I love living my on my own. The best thing about having my own home is having a key to lock the door. I can’t hear others and it doesn’t bother me, having my own place.” Linda has many dreams and goals. She is working closely with the ACT team Service Coordinators, nurse and psychiatrist to achieve these recovery goals. Linda has worked on and off her entire adult life, and is now planning on returning to work. “I dream about being a nurse’s aid.” 
Linda I. has been homeless off and on for many years- most recently for almost two years here in
Washington, DC. She has traveled to many states in her homelessness, and is glad to have settled in the District. 
Linda would like to give back to others who are in need “I like helping people that don’t have food or a place to sleep and I would like to work in a place that others need help the most.”
